This is the largest update ever with nearly 300 commits and 3 months of development effort. It includes VCV Bridge, a plugin that allows audio and MIDI to be transferred between Rack and your DAW.
VCV Rack 0.6.1, the open-source virtual modular synthesizer, has been released with the following new features:
Added gamepad MIDI driver.
Added computer keyboard MIDI driver.
Added JACK support on Linux.
Added velocity mode to MIDI-Trig.
Added MIDI multiplexing so multiple MIDI modules can use the same MIDI device on Windows.
Made Module Browser layout more compact.
Added power meter.
Added icons to toolbar.
The VCV Bridge VST/AU plugin has been updated with some major changes:
Replaced VST effect plugin with VST instrument plugin with audio inputs.
Added MIDI support.
Added DAW transport and clock.
EQ4000 comprises high frequency, high-mid, low-mid and low frequency sections The low and high frequency sections are independently configurable for 'bell' or 'shelf' modes while the mid sections provide fully parametric equalization with variable gain, frequency and Q.
The plug-in emulates both the earlier 'Brown' (02) and later 'Black' (242) versions of the original 4000 E-Series hardware, as indicated by the low frequency control knob colour, while cross-linking between each mid section and its corresponding low or high frequency shelf / bell filter emulates the characteristic control interaction of the original design.
DSP technology accurately models the analogue filter response without requiring CPU intensive oversampling, thereby avoiding additional latency, or other undesirable side-effects while being economical with system resources.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The SSL line from OverTone DSP is already taken down.
